SYSTECH INSTRUMENTS LTD STATEMENT ON EU DIRECTIVE 2002/95/EC (RoHS & WEEE)
Systech Instruments has a policy of continuous environmental improvement and is committed to working closely with both our suppliers and customers to achieve this goal. The Company has placed great importance on ensuring that our products comply with RoHS & WEEE directives well in advance of the statutory deadlines.
However the products manufactured by us are exempt from the directive due to the fact that they fall into category 9 of the WEEE directive "Monitoring and Control Instruments". The scope of the RoHS directive states:-
"Without prejudice to article 6, this directive (RoHS) shall apply to electrical and electronic equipment falling under the categories 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 10 set out in annex 1A of Directive No. 2002/96/EC (WEEE directive)"
Regarding the WEEE directive, which comes into force 1st July 2006, please contact our Quality Control Department for collection of any WEEE product.
